Set in an orange grove, Villa Las Palmeras accommodates up to six people, with air-conditioning and heating. It comprises a fully furnished lounge with a double bed settee, satellite television (Sky Free to Air), video, DVD player, stereo hi-fi/CD, books and games; two bedrooms, one with king-size bed, one with twin beds; shower room/WC; a beautiful kitchen/dining room with every modern convenience including a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge-freezer, and full-size oven and hob, plus a full range of everything you could possibly need including an iron and ironing board, crockery, cutlery, glasses, melamine dishes and plastic glasses for outside, etc. Baby equipment (cot with bedding, highchair, potty, buggy, etc) is also available. There is a barbeque area with a covered terrace (ideal for dining al fresco out of the sun) and a sun terrace on the roof, as well as sun loungers around the pool. All linen, tea towels and towels (including pool towels) are provided, and even a hairdryer. A 'starter pack' of tea, coffee, milk, also awaits you, and extra shopping can be bought if you have a late flight, plus baby needs etc.
Villa Las Palmeras is only 5 minutes drive from the typical Andalucian ‘pueblo blanco’ (white village) of Alhaurín el Grande, 25 minutes drive from Fuengirola and 35 minutes from Malaga Airport and Marbella. Despite being so handily placed, it enjoys an idyllic rural situation, perfect for anyone who is seeking a genuinely comfortable place to enjoy a wide range of local activities including golf and horse riding, or simply to get away from it all and soak up some of the 320+ days of sunshine around the large pool. The pool has a slide into the deep end and there are corner steps down into the pool from one corner of the shallow end: an asset for small children, or just sitting on the steps chilling out with a book!
It provides the perfect base for touring and enjoying the excellent local restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. You can never tire of exploring the spectacular and unspoiled country behind the Costa del Sol. Whilst the list of things to see is endless, favourite local trips include visits to Mijas, Ronda, historic Antequera, the fabulous El Torcal National Park, the Ardales lakes and the Garganta del Chorro gorge. Further away are Archidona and Granada, whilst Gibraltar is always worth the two hour drive with its history, duty-free shopping, and spectacular views.
